Dr. Janice Lester, renown scientist, finds two ancient devices within the ruins of Camus II, one that can either swap the personalities between two individuals or another one that can permanently change the gender & personalities of the target victim. Still holding a grudge against Captain Kirk, Dr. Lester plans a diabolical fate for her former lover.

So thus after spending months studying & deciphering the first device that can swap personalities but only a few days on the second one; now totally deranged & impatient; she decides to use the second one, thinking that she can still swap minds and then change the gender & personality of Kirk into an utterly nerdy doctor in her own body. What she didn't realize was that the second device would only change the gender of the subject being targeted and likewise make the mentality of said changed person into that gender.

After she tricked Kirk into standing in front of the device, Dr. Lester, likewise steps up to an adjacent empty alcove and throws the switch, thus we find that Mr.James Kirk has become Ms. Jamie Tiberia Kirk while Dr. Lester is still herself in her own body. Enraged & realizing that she utterly mess'd up, Dr. Lester tries to attack & drag the slightly dis-oriented Jamie Kirk to the other device. However, Jamie was able to stumble out of the alcove first and comes out fighting for her own life & mind and in a uniform tearing; punches & slaps; with their bodies slamming into walls & fragile equipments, Captain Jamie Tiberia Kirk finally subdues the crazed Dr. Lester Janice but not before their battle royale had wrecked the second device and made it totally inoperable.

The U.S.S. Enterprise security teams finally arrives, led by a concern Dr. McCoy & Cmdr. Spock, arrests Dr. Lester and take the disheveled Captain Jamie Tiberia Kirk back onboard their starship for medical evaluation. Starfleet, inform of the situation, orders that as long as Dr. McCoy certifies that Captain Kirk is still him/herself now & can command her starship, that she can keep her rank & command of the Enterprise but orders Cmdr. Spock to continue the evaluations & give the Captain a thorough physical to see whether she can keep up with him as when Jim & Spock had spar & train in the gym in the past.
